Spread over 604 sq km the Pangong Tso lake is an absolute must see during a trip to Leh and very few people miss out on this beautiful destination in Leh. With the LOC passing right through the lake inner line permit is necessary to visit the Pangong tso.

ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 01: Delhi/Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize. Evening Visit to Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Overnight at Hotel.


Day 02: Leh

Post Breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Sindhu Ghat & Stok Palace Museum. Packed or Hot Lunch will be provided. Overnight at Hotel.


Day 03: Leh

Full day sightseeing tour of the monasteries - Hemis, Shey and Thikse. The Hemis gompa is the highest monastery in Ladakh and contains gold statues, stupas decorated with precious stones and many priceless old Thangkas. Shey gompa is situated in the ruins of the old palace of the kings of Ladakh. Thiksey gompa is built on the model of the Potala Palace in Lhasa. It is built in several levels of construction. It contains the three storeyed statue of the Maitraiya Buddha, the future Buddha. Overnight in Leh.


Day 04: Leh/Pangong Tso

After early breakfast we drive to Pangong-Tso, the largest saltwater lake in the world. We reach in time for hot lunch. Enjoy the fantastic scenic beauty of this massive lake. Overnight in deluxe camps near the lake.


Day 05: Pangong Lake/Leh (06 hours approx.)

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to lehenroute visiting HemisGompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh&Stok Palace Museum. Drive further to Leh and check in at our hotel for Overnight.


Day 06: Leh/Delhi (Fly Out)

Transfer to airport to board morning flight to Delhi.
