Once home to the Maharaja of Jaipur, this light and airy palace is relaxing and wistfully romantic; from the peacocks strutting across the lawns to the Indian classical musicians playing on cool verandahs. Situated close to the city centre, the palace is spread over 47 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. It has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and now has some of the most lavish bedrooms of any hotel in the area. The art deco swimming pool is unique and a stylish outdoor pool and jacuzzi have been added. Spa treatments are offered in a charming tent, tucked away in a quiet corner of the garden. There are two restaurants to try as well as the delightful Polo Bar.
